Services for Churches
Creating a stewardship culture is one of our most important mission objectives! “Sower: Seeds of Faith and Finance” and Personal Finance Workshops have proved popular and helpful for local churches and their members.
Planned Giving Seminars
We will come to you and discuss ways people can give from accumulated assets. These seminars serve as an educational tool for local congregations and church members to come to understand how ministry can work and how it can continue to work in the community.
We will help your leadership set appropriate policies and promote gifts to your fund.
Our experienced staff is ready to lead your congregation in raising needed money for expansion, renovation or other projects.
Personal Finance Seminars
We conduct seminars on finance strategies and taxes for clergy, Staff Relations Committees and individuals.
The United Methodist Frontier Foundation serves churches in New York and Connecticut by providing investment management services - a smart and effective way to manage funds as they relate to the church. This vital service meets our social responsibility criteria for planned giving opportunities for individuals, and annual and capital campaign guidance and resources in the area of financial stewardship for churches.
We offer professional investment management by John G. Ullman & Associates, an SEC-registered firm, and fund accounting through our Sungard investment accounting system. As we manage funds for conference agencies and local churches, our fees pay for investment management, accounting, administration, and our stewardship education program.
Who We Serve
"We were extremely pleased with the UMFF’s assistance [in our capital campaign]. They were professional, knowledgeable and reliable. We exceeded all our fundraising goals by substantial margins. Any group contemplating a large capital campaign should contact the UMFF early in the process and you will definitely be pleased with the end results. Highly recommended."

We can help you structure a bequest of a specified amount of money, a percentage of your estate or of your residuary estate (what remains after all other persons and interests have been satisfied).
Charitable Gift Annuities
We can provide you with a gift annuity, which is a contract between you as a donor and the Foundation, guaranteeing you and/or your designated beneficiary a lifetime income, with the remainder of the gift benefiting the your church or a favorite charity.
We can show you how to set up a Testamentary Trust (CRT) as part of your will or a Living Trust, which becomes operable during your lifetime as a donor. The Foundation can manage the trust and serve as its trustee.
If you can make a “donor-advised” charitable donation now, you may direct distributions to your favorite charities.
Estate Planning Preparation
We will help you consider the important individuals and institutions in your life and how you want your property to be distributed when you will no longer need it—think of this as help with “doing your homework” before you meet with your attorney.
